DESIGNING VOICES presents sound and music performances with a focus on vocal performance art. In 2021 the theme revolves around pipe organ, voice and gesture-controlled live electronics.
DESIGNING VOICES highlights the artistic practice of composer-performers and features vocal performance artists as well as musicians who use their voice as integral part of their performance practice.
Apart from concerts DESIGNING VOICES showcases also lecture-performances, audio-visual works, all of which illuminate the characteristics and peculiarities of contemporary vocal performance art.
In 2021 DESIGNING VOICES is granted funding by the Musikfonds e.V. and the MWFK of the Federal State of Brandenburg and has been developed in collaboration with the Norwegian and the Swedish Embassy in Berlin.
